The Ivory sweat bar is going to be a tough replacement - you might be able to find out if current Ray Ban manufacturer Luxottica could do that for you. They have a few models that have that bar there.

As for the lenses, all you can do is search ebay for deadstock/NOS G-15 lenses in the size you need. There aren't any people or businesses that specialize in stocking these old parts. Hope this helps.

I have an original pair of Aviators which had "ambermatic" lens, they were replaced 15 years ago and I need another pair of lens, pref dark green.
I have the original case too haha.
Where can I get some new Bosch Lomb lens for them?
Also the middle " ivory" sweat bar has disintegrated and that could be replaced maybe.... Any help appreciated :)

All raw denim will eventually give, especially when it comes to wearing in the crotch. I understand crotch blow out is so common because of the concentration of sweat in the area which is acidic and breaks down the denim fibers, and because of expected friction and tension. Just as you said, the only way to ensure it sets in later is by going with a heavier ouncage. If your willing to wash or soak them more often, that will also help. Your best bet is to just continue wearing whichever weight denim you have and identifying wear before they become holes and have them reinforced. I've done this and have completely stopped the wear in those parts.

I thought these were gonna hold up better.... but 6 months and the crotch is going?! Are these not as tough as hoped for? What do you recommend for some denim that's gonna last longer under heavy wear (without going up to 21 oz Iron Hearts?
Thanks

Pete,

You can check out rios1931.com or you can email sales@gabarrostraps.com to inquire about a particular model. Nick is very easy to work with and quick to ship with his products. I highly recommend him. Hope this helps.
